Well, here it is, in all it's glory...the Boho Backroom. This is where the magic happens.
Really it's not magic, it's just a little creativity mixed with a lot of old, but fabulous finds. This is where all of our treasures come to get a facelift.
As you can see, we've got a lot to get done before the 13th of April. Here's a piece in the middle of it's makeover.
We're painting up a storm to have all of these pieces ready to make their debut for our Grand Opening!
Ok, back to painting...
We are soooo close to being done with 'the bones' of the space and on the verge of being able to load it up with all of our fabulous finds!
It's taken us several weeks, but we've come a long way from this...
to this...
Isn't it amazing what a little white paint, new lighting, and a chalkboard wall can do?
As you can see, we're not completely done, but a lot of changes have been made to the inside of the space.
And the same goes for the outside. Here's what we started with...
The awning went up last Friday and it made such a difference.
There's still some landscaping and trim painting to do on the outside, but we're getting there.
The sisal wall-to-wall carpeting will be going down in the big back room this week and then we'll begin packing in the goods!

We're working like bees to finish sprucing up the space and then the fun begins...
When I was in the very early stages of planning D'Bohemia, I knew that the location of this one-of-a-kind monthly market would be oh so important. The first and only place that came to mind for me was Havre de Grace. And you know what they say...location is everything! So why did I pick Havre de Grace?
Well, come along and I'll show you!
1. It's Charm
There are bed and breakfasts galore in this town. This is just one of them.
And fabulous old homes...this one just happens to be pink!
2. It's History
Havre de Grace was originally settled by the French back in the 1800's. The name of the town means Harbor of Grace for all of the non-locals out there. In the shot below is the Concord Point Light House which dates back to 1827. Can you tell I did a little brushing up on my history for this post?
For all of you ladies who are planning to come to the D'Bohemia Grand Opening, there are plenty of sights to see for your husband in case he gets dragged along, this is just one of them.
3. Great Shoppes. Here are just a few...

The countdown is on...we are now a little over a month away from our grand opening on April 13th! If you're just finding out about D'Bohemia, you're probably wondering what we're all about? Well let me tell you...
D'Bohemia is a monthly themed market filled with fabulous vintage furniture and one-of-a-kind finds!
We will only be open the first Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of each month. The rest of the month we'll be out treasure hunting for the next month's event. Each and every month we'll have a fresh theme and fresh goods, so you'll never know what you're going to find. This will be a one-of-a-kind shopping experience that you won't want to miss.
Over the next few weeks, we'll be sharing the transformation of our space at 425 St. John St. in Havre de Grace, announcing our April theme, and giving you some sneak peeks of what's in store for our April sale!
